Foreign Craft Makes Itself Known

An Australian Navy reservist witnessed a foreign flying object hovering in front of an Australian Navy Destroyer. It was not detected by the ships radar screen, not even a single hint. It was there for almost half an hour according to him.

The man, who refuses to be named, manifested his stories after a visit to Katherine. There he heard overwhelming stories about sightings of unexplained lights and UFOs in the sky.

The man, 39 years of age, was the quartermaster gunner on the missile destroyer HMAS Brisbane back in 1992. He was occupied with work when blinding bright light suddenly appeared in front of the war ship. He said that the voyage was passing the Great Australia Bight when the lights did strike them at an angle of 45 degrees high in the sky. They were puzzled when they tried to locate it on the radar and got negative results.

The craft moved southeast, flew southwest and then did a sort of a jiggling movement before it rapidly escaped to the skies and was nowhere in sight.

All these happened two decades ago but it was something the navy reservist would never forget. It was his first and last experience.

In July 2005, the said missile destroyer was scuttled on Queenslands Sunshine Coast. A marine park has been publicly declared around the shipwreck.

Earlier in the year 2011, it was discovered that Australias X-files were missing when the countrys UFO sightings were investigated. It took two months for the Defence Department to look for recorded files on UFO sightings. In May that same year Natalie Carpenter, the departments FOI assistant director, stated that the only file they recovered was the ”Report on UFOs/Strange Occurrences and Phenomena in Woomera”. No other files related to UFOs were found.
